Is a drone charging system so easy to build?
The drone industry is rising day by day, and so is the drone charging system. As one of them, HEISHA has been given multifarious lessons during the growing process.
Currently, drone charging pads, drone charging docks, drone in-a-box solutions, and drone charging software are the mainstream in this industry. HEISHA had chosen to build the hardware system after realizing that a software system consumes more time and R&D elites while there are already a bunch of well-developed drone software companies.
The drone charging pad is the first developed product of all HEISHA drone charging products, but it is still the core product as others are all developed on the base of it. A whole drone charging pad structure includes a drone charging pad, centering and charging bar, and control module. Seems pretty easy and simple, right? But there are many small parts include and challenges ahead, such as how to achieve good performance motors, how to process the drive system, how to use the landing gear bracket to reach quick data access, etc. Moreover, anti-reverse connection protection, over-current protection, electrostatic protection, and lightning protection on the control board all require a serious process to ensure a safe operation.
The charging after centering process was tested to be the most efficient charging method without accurate requirement on precision landing and being adopted until now, its material has been changed to glass fiber for better resistance against high temperature, corrosion, and better insulative.
Our drone charging stations D80/D135 and DNEST drone in-a-box are gaining more attention than the drone charging pad due to the robust industry level of performance and the complete autonomous drone solution advantage. We are facing more challenges, but we have outpouring creativity and persistence.
