HEISHA DNEST Drone-in-a-Box is Deployed to Guard the Forest
April 20, 2022
It’s not new to hear that drones are being used for forestry, especially for fire fighting. The quick-respond only takes a few minutes by sending a drone to the site and finding out the fire source without putting human lives at risk. Tracking a missing person in a wild forest with an infrared camera as a payload is another handy work for a drone.
This time, DJI Mavic Enterprise works with Heisha DNEST autonomous DiaB solution for regular inspection of the forest. This forest is not far away from the city, which attracts many tourists and garbage, it’s a challenge for cleaners to walk every day across the 200 acres of field. There is also another factor that puts the cleaning work in an awkward place, the wind. Finding litter on the sidewalk is not really easy when it is only a little windy, they will gather in a corner day by day in a bush. Drones can be helpful to find out the gathering spots and mark the location before sending cleaners.
Uplifting the cleaning efficiency without sending a person to the unknown areas, DNEST drone dock as a fuel station powering Mavic to carry out the inspection mission any time, by making every procedure automatic, from drone take-off, fly according to the preset route, to return to DNEST and charge, all requires not a single click. But if you want to zoom in to check a specific site, or take a video or picture, you need to click a few buttons.
It’s not the first time that DNEST being applied for environmental protection, park patrol in Mexico, and park inspection along the beach in Colombia.
