K100 drone charging pad controller
Motor drive and control
To make the maintenance of HEISHA drone charging platforms easier and more efficient, the new version of the K100 control board is divided into five pieces: centralizing, air conditioning, communication, canopy switching, and drone charging. Some safety factors are taken into serious consideration in upgrading K100, for example, digital circuits and analog circuits are isolated to ensure not interfered. Protections including anti-reverse connection, over-current, and electrostatic protections are added to guarantee a safer interface. Other measurements are taken to continuously elevate the safety, like electrostatic and lightning protection.
K100 Core Components
K100- Drone centralizing module
This unit is the brain of centralizing the drone into the middle of the HEISHA drone charging pad to prepare the drone for charging. Centralizing the drone via four glass fiber-made sticks with charging interfaces, is a more stable and reliable way of charging a drone after testing different kinds of other drone charging methods.
K100- Canopy switching module
This unit is tailored for HEISHA DNEST drone in-a-box solution, D80 and D135 drone dock, it’s a more efficient way to shelter the entire drone charging station. Unlike stretching out two separate covers into one piece to shelter a drone charging station, the structure of a canopy shelter can easily deal with the rainy weather and there is only one command required to open the switch, which saves a lot of trouble on syncing the commands.
K100- Drone charging module
As the core to all HEISHA drone charging products, several circuit improvements are taken to provide a safe environment, including over-current protection, anti-reverse connection protection to prevent incorrect operation, and the improvement of voltage resistance. Repeated Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests are taken to improve EMC compliance.
K100- Communication module
The communication unit is vital to send orders to the rest four units and complete the drone charging process. It is also the interface to communicate with network communication and software, such as the Freesky software platform that DNEST adopts can send diverse commands to the drone like starting a waypoint flight or a manual flight, taking a video, or shooting a few pictures during the mission, zooming in or out the camera to check on a certain spot, and autonomously landing and charging the drone, they all rely on this communication unit.
K100- Air conditioner module
To ensure the drone works in any harsh environment, an air conditioner unit is built to adjust the temperature and make sure the drone charging condition is under proper temperature.
