D80 dock, Mavic3, and Amelia together make autonomous drones happen
November 2, 2023
Heisha’s D80 drone dock works with DJI Mavic3 and Octocam Maps’ Amelia software in Barcelona, Spain.
A complete autonomous drone system includes three major parts: a drone, a dock, and software. HEISHA D80 dock provides an autonomous launching, landing, and charging platform for the Mavic3, while the command is sent from the Amelia software.
Challenges we overcome
The truth is when all the concepts become true, challenges follow.
Over 95% of flight missions are taken outdoors, otherwise, the blocked barriers may cause big trouble to the precision landing. But outdoor work elevates the whole dock’s performance to the industrial level, not just the appearance’s protection level, but also involves the electrical components’ waterproof, dustproof, anti-aging, and many other protections.
On the other hand, the link and binding between a dock, a drone, and software is tricky, too. It involves three groups of engineers: DJI’s, HEISHA’s, and Octocam Maps’. Fortunately, we have worked out the connection between the drone and the dock and launched a five-minute connection solution.
Only after all these preparations are complete, the final results of images and videos can get the chance to be analyzed intelligently by Octocam Maps’ Amelia.
Amelia automates the processing of images captured by a drone, it can analyze large volumes of image data, autonomously and in record time, providing accurate and detailed insights for different industries.
About D80
Heisha D80 autonomous drone docking station is an intelligent drone charging station with high safety assurance thanks to the comprehensive hardware support, including the air conditioning system, smart charging control system, and remote diagnosis solution. It is compatible with batteries from 2S to 12S, which means most drones are compatible with it. Automatic drone charging as a major function, self-landing, automatic take-off, and executing preset waypoint flight missions without a professional pilot but an operator in front of a computer, are the unique features of D80, you can also take photos and shoot videos during the flight, zoom in the drone camera view is also available if you need to take a close look. D80 is certified by CE, RoHS, and FCC.
